Data State Modeling

Some Data Entities in a business can often exist in many states.

For example, a theatre booking could possibly exist in the states of “Provisional”,  “Cancelled”, “Confirmed”, “Transferred”, “Picked up”.

How does the business know what state the entity is in and what Business Functions move the entity from one state to the next?

This is where Data State Modeling is used.  It allows the business to know what all of these states are and which functions move the booking from one state to the next.

All you will ever need to know about data state modeling is contained in the IMM Data State Modeling e-Book [Coming Soon] from our Online store.

+1 for questions of Albert. In what time frame do you plan to publish proposed ebooks?

Pressure of some exciting projects and consultancy commitment has caused the planned delivery of this book to slip.

However, I shortly plan to reschedule the completion of this and will advise you when I have a completion date.

      Thanks for your patience.

      Regards
      John
